The Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh is the spiritual reality which is prefigured by water Baptism. In water Baptism the baptizer is an elder or a deacon of the congregation and the medium is water. In the Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh the baptizer is Yeshuw'ah haMashiyach and the Medium is the Ruach haQodesh.
Yochanan 1:32 Then Yochanan witnessed, saying: "I observed haRuach come down like a dove originating from Shamayim and She dwelled in Him. I did not know Him, but She who sent me to baptize in water, that One, told me, `On whomever you see haRuach come down and remain in Him is the One baptizing in the Ruach haQodesh.' I have perceived it and have witnessed that this One is the Son of ‘Elohiym."
The Baptism of Repentance (Water Baptism) is a ceremonial ordinance of Divine origin which enables a Believer to publicly declare his or her ‘emuwnah in Yeshuw'ah haMashiyach by being momentarily submerged in water. The Baptism of Repentance, in other words, is the shadow, the type, the blueprint, the physical illustration, the symbolic ceremony.
The Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh is the living reality to which Water Baptism points. The Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh, in short, is the Main Baptism - the REAL THING!
But even though Water Baptism is only a 'symbolic ceremony' we can still learn a lot from it about the Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh, just as an engineer can learn a lot about a machine by studying the designer's blueprint. So let us first turn our attention to that 'ceremonial blueprint' and see what we can learn about the Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh. Upon doing this we find that when the repentant convert goes through the waters of baptism he/she figuratively declares to the world two important objectives.
- To bury the old chatta'ah nature.
- To rise again to live a new life as ne’eman.
This spiritual resurrection is, in fact, the main purpose of baptism, that the washed convert will rise to live a new life of tsdaqah in accordance with the will of ‘Elohiym.
COL 2:9 For in Him resides all the fulfillment of ha'Elohiym physically, and you are in Him, having been satiated, who is the Ro'sh over all the first estate and superhuman. In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not done by hand, but by the putting off of chatta'ah, by the circumcision of the Messiah, being co-buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through 'emuwnah in the power of 'Elohiym, raising Him from the dead. When you were dead in chatta'ah and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him, having forgiven all chatta'ah. This wiped away the handwritten regulations, which were against us and that stood opposed to us; He took them out of their midst, nailing them to the cross. Having stripped away the first estate and the superhuman, displaying them in boldness, triumphing over them by the cross.
RO 6:3 Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Yeshuwah haMashiyach were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as the Messiah was resurrected from the dead through the Kabowd of the Father, we too live in regeneration of Chay. If we have become yachad with Him in the means of His death, so will we become with the resurrection. Acknowledge this – that our worn out self was crucified with Him that the body of chatta'ah be rendered useless, that we would no longer serve chatta'ah – because anyone who has died has been rendered innocent of chatta'ah.
These two objectives, we repeat, both find fulfillment in the life of a believer who is baptized in the Ruach haQodesh. They are no longer a figurative exercise, as they were in Water Baptism, but a real, recognizable fact in the Ruach haQodesh-Baptized believer's life.
What are the Signs of a Valid Baptism?
It follows from the above that the two main signs of a valid Ruach haQodesh baptism are when those two symbolic features of Water Baptism become a visible reality in the life of a person. If they have not found fulfillment in a person’s life, (if you cannot plainly recognize their presence) then, no matter what that person may claim, you can be sure that he or she has not been baptized in the Ruach haQodesh.
When we look more closely at those two ceremonial features, we find that they tell quite plainly of these two things.
- The burial of the old chatta'ah nature
- The rising to live a life of ne’eman – trust in Yeshuwah in everything!
The Burial of the Old Chatta'ah Intellect
The carnal intellect, the one we humans are born with, is inherently chatta'ah. It is a rebellious intellect and its true character only becomes apparent when it is called upon to obey the Torah of 'Elohiym. Then it rebels. The Torah says:
RO 8:6 The natural intellect belongs to Maveth, but the intellect of haRuach belongs to Chay and shalom. Therefore, the natural intellect is enmity toward 'Elohiym. It does not submit to the rule of 'Elohiym, nor can it do so. Those who are in the natural state are not able to please 'Elohiym.
Because of this fact (that the carnal intellect cannot be subject to the Torah of 'Elohiym) the carnal intellect must be slain: for it cannot be made taher. This slaughter of the carnal intellect is accomplished by the Ruach haQodesh. The believer's chatta'ah intellect - the "old self" as one passage of Scripture calls it - is slain and buried at baptism.
In Water Baptism, this death and burial of the carnal intellect is only figuratively expressed when the repentant convert is placed under the water, buried in the "watery grave" so to speak. But in the Baptism of the Ruach haQodesh this death and burial of the chatta'ah intellect really takes place. It is no longer a symbolic exercise, but a recognizable reality - a visible fact. The believer is literally purged of chatta'ah by the Ruach haQodesh. His old chatta'ah intellect is slain and buried. In other words, he does not live in chatta'ah any more. He is finished with chatta'ah forever because his old chatta'ah intellect is no longer alive. His carnal, chatta'ah intellect is now dead and buried. We repeat: he does not live in chatta'ah any more! Consider this verse:
1Yochanan 3:9 No one who is born of 'Elohiym will continue in chatta'ah, because the Zera` of ‘Elohiym remains in him; he cannot go on in chatta'ah, because he has been born of 'Elohiym. This is how we know who are the children of 'Elohiym and the children of haSatan. Anyone who does not do what is tsedeq is not a child of 'Elohiym; nor is anyone who does not have checed for his brother.
In other words a born-again believer who is baptized in the Ruach haQodesh is taher - who no longer need live in chatta'ah! He may make errors of judgment or leave tasks undone; or, like a child, may have a lot to learn, but he no longer need live in chatta'ah. That is the first sign of the baptism of the Ruach haQodesh. Just pause awhile and consider that amazing standard. The Scriptures make it abundantly clear that it will be reached by a great company of believers.
Chazown 14:1 And I looked and, behold, the Lamb standing on the Mount of Tsiyown; and joined with Him were 144,000 holding onto His Name and the Name of His Father -- written on the forehead of each one. And I heard a Qowl from Shamayim like the sound of abundant water and like a peal of great thunder. Then I heard a sound of harpers playing on their harps. And they sang a new song in the Presence of the Throne and before the four of Chay and the zaqeniym. No one could understand the song except the 144,000 – those being redeemed from the world. These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They were redeemed from men and are firstfruit of ha‘Elohiym and the Lamb. No delusion was found in their mouth; they are tamiym.
There you will read about a perfect company of believers numbering many thousands who are tamiym. So the standard of absolute purity can and will be reached.
Rising to a life of Ne’eman / Faithfulness
The other sign of a valid baptism is a life of ‘emuwnah. The believer has not merely stopped needing to live in chatta'ah (that statement merely tells us of what he does not do). But he rises from the baptism to live a life of ne’eman (This statement tells of what he does do). The Ruach haQodesh-baptized believer, in short, will stop needing to live in chatta'ah (Sign 1) and will go on to do fruitful deeds (Sign 2). He will live by the `Aseret haDbariym. He has not only stopped breaking the `Aseret haDbariym, but has now started to obey it. In symbolic language ne’eman is referred to as good fruit. And that is why when Yochanan the Baptist saw that true tsdaqah was very often missing from the lives of those who came to him for baptism, he spoke these scathing words:
LK 3:7 Yochanan said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, "You brood of snakes! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? But, now, produce fruit in keeping with the repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, `We have 'Avraham as our forefather.' For I tell you that out of these stones ha'Elohiym can raise up children of 'Avraham. The ax is already set at the root of the tree, and every tree that does not produce good fruit is being cut down and thrown into the fire."
This man of 'Elohiym knew very well that if ne’eman (state of producing good fruit) did not follow water baptism, then the whole symbolic exercise was invalidated and pointless. Yochanan was looking for good fruit - true repentance followed by evidence in the lives of those who came to him - and when he didn't find it his denunciations were voiced in no uncertain terms:
...every tree that does not produce good fruit is being cut down and thrown into the fire."
The Messiah expressed the same thought when He said:
Mattithyahuw 7:15 Pay attention for the false nabiy'im who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are vicious wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. They do not pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles. Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a corrupt tree bears degenerate fruit. A beneficial tree cannot bear degenerate fruit, and a degenerate tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is frustrated and thrown into fire. Thus, by their fruits you will recognize them.
In other words, a believer who is Baptized in the Ruach haQodesh will live a life of fruitfulness. He will be eager to live by the `Aseret haDbariym. He will not merely stop needing to live in chatta'ah (Sign 1) but he will go on to produce good fruit, by living according to the `Aseret haDbariym (Sign 2).
Supernatural/Witnessing Power
The third sign of a Ruach-baptized believer is supernatural power to witness for the Messiah.
AC 1:4 And assembling together with them He transmitted a message to them. "Do not depart from Yerushalayim, but instead await the Promised One of the Father, of which you heard Me speak. For Yochanan indeed baptized in water, but in a few days you will be baptized in the Ruach haQodesh." So when they met together, they asked Him, "Lord, are You at this time going to restore the Mamlahkah to Yisra'el?" He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or seasons the Father has set in His own authority. But you will receive miraculous power when the coming Ruach haQodesh rests in you; and you will be My witnesses in both Yerushalayim and in all Yhuwdah and Shomrown, and to the ends of ha’arets."
When we broadly consider this matter of miraculous power we find that it manifests itself in a variety of ways (MK 16:17-18). To mention a few:
The gift of driving out shediym
The gift of inspired languages
The power to resist false doctrines
The power to heal
Strictly speaking, the miraculous power the Messiah was referring to in AC 1:8 was not the power to do these kinds of miracles. The talmiydim already had that power. Some three years before, the Messiah had called them together and given them miraculous power and authority over all shediym and to cure all diseases (LK 9:1-6). So the power they were to receive at the Baptism in the Ruach haQodesh was not the kind of power they already had. It was a completely different kind of power. Also bear in mind that many of the nabiy'im of old had miraculous power. 'Eliysha` had even raised the dead.
2KI 4:32 When 'Eliysha` reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his bed. He went in, shut the door on the two of them and prayed to YHWH. Then he got up and lay upon the boy -- his mouth on his mouth, his eyes to his eyes, his hands to his hands -- and stretched himself out upon him and warmed the boy's body. He turned away and walked back and forth in the house and went up and stretched out upon him. The boy sneezed seven times and Aleph/Tav opened the boy's eyes.
The power mentioned in AC 1:8 was an entirely new kind of power. It was the power to witness of the resurrected Messiah on a supernatural scale.
But you will receive miraculous power when the coming Ruach haQodesh rests in you; and you will be My witnesses in both Yerushalayim and in all Yhuwdah and Shomrown, and to the ends of ha’arets.
Indeed, when they received this new kind of power - the power to witness effectively - they turned the world upside down. Within a few years the Gospel penetrated areas where even a thousand miracles would have gone unheeded. What they received on that Shabu'owt was the great power of the Ruach haQodesh to open the eyes of the spiritually blind, to unstop the ears of the spiritually deaf and to raise the spiritually dead. This is the power the Ruach haQodesh-Baptized believer is promised in AC 1:8 - the power to witness with spectacular results, the power to do the spiritually impossible!
That kind of power had never been known before. It was new.
The supernatural power conferred on a believer at the baptism in the Ruach haQodesh, in short, is not to be confused with the power to do miracles. It is the power to witness of Yeshuw'ah and to produce supernatural results just as they did in the early days of the Qahal.
Here is a further word of instruction about supernatural power.
Supernatural power at its lowest level (the power to do physical miracles) is not confined to the Qahal. It is found in most religions, pagan and otherwise. In India, Africa, China and the Middle East, in almost all the nations of the world, there are pagan spiritual leaders who possess miraculous powers; and, believe it or not, many of them speak in tongues. Like the magicians of ancient Par'oh they are well able to duplicate most of the miracles done by the nabiy'im of 'Elohiym. (Shmowt 7:11,22)
Because of these facts, we conclude that the commonly known expressions of supernatural power (miracles, healings, tongues etc.), wonderful though they may be, should NOT be taken as a unique sign of the baptism in the Ruach haQodesh. For we know very well that spectacular miracles are often done by pagan religious leaders. We also know that their powers do not emanate from Yeshuw'ah, Qadowsh Yisra'el. And because of this fact we should not accept something as from 'Elohiym simply because it is accompanied by a miracle!
To be accepted as a unique sign of the baptism in the Ruach haQodesh, supernatural power must be a witnessing power, witnessing of Yeshuw'ah haMashiyach and the Everlasting Gospel with effect. But because this sign is so difficult to assess, we only consider it when it is accompanied by those first two signs:
- The absence of chatta'ah
- And the presence of ne’eman.
We can summarize the valid signs of the baptism in the Ruach haQodesh in one word – ne’eman. Yes, ne’eman is the true measure of a believer: the more of the Ruach haQodesh he possesses, the more ne’eman he will become.
These, then, are the signs of a valid baptism in the Ruach haQodesh. If even one of them is missing in the life of someone who claims to have been baptized in the Ruach haQodesh, you can be sure that you are not seeing the genuine article.
Counterfeit Baptism
It is a fact that haSatan has, over the centuries, produced counterfeits of almost everything that 'Elohiym has done. There just doesn't seem to be any area of activity in which 'Elyown is engaged, but the Rasha` will sooner or later produce one or more counterfeits; albeit inferior products by far. These imitations of the efforts of ha’Elohiym have inveigled their way into the churches, and so we have:
- False prophets who pose as ministers of tsdaqah
- Over 100 modern English Bible versions, all posing as the Word of 'Elohiym.
- Counterfeit sabbaths and holidays, which are being palmed off as the genuine Shabbatowt and Chagowt of 'Elyown
- False messiahs pretending to be Agents of the Eternal
- Miracle workers all claiming that they are the instruments of 'Elohiym
Yes, in all these and many other areas haSatan has counterfeited the work of 'Elohiym. Do you suppose that in this matter of the baptism in the Ruach haQodesh he is idle? Oh no dear reader, in this field he is extremely active. Indeed he has already deceived multiplied millions of Christians into thinking that they have been baptized in the Ruach haQodesh. It is a deception of enormous magnitude and the time has come to expose it. Here is the Torah message about this astonishing fact.
The Ruach Sheqer
Most people have never even heard of the ruach sheqer. And yet in the whole universe he is the most effective agent in the dubious art of deception. The ruach sheqer will succeed where all other agencies fail, mainly because he never comes in his own garb - he always poses as Ruach ha'Emeth. The ruach sheqer always transforms himself into an “Angel of Light,” when in fact he is a minister of darkness. The ruach sheqer is the wolf in sheep's clothing, a lamb who speaks as the dragon, the miracle-working False Prophet from whose mouth proceeds error and deception.
Chazown 13:11 Then I saw another beast, coming out of the world. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the world and its inhabitants serve the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
Chazown 16:13 Then I saw three tame’ spirits that looked like batrachoi out of the mouth of the Nachash, out of the mouth of the Beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are spirits of shediym performing signs, which go out to the kings of the entire habitable world, to gather them to the war of that Day of the Gadowlah -- He who is ‘Elohiym, the Omnipotent One.
In the Qahal, he speaks through the mouths of the false prophets who blatantly reject the truth of the Word of 'Elohiym. They not only disregard the Torah of 'Elohiym, but claim that some of it is obsolete; and proudly parade their “supernatural gifts” as evidence that what they say is correct. We are given a preview of the ruach sheqer at work in the experience recorded in 1KI 22. Read that whole chapter over a few times and you will realize that you are in fact looking at a dramatized prophecy of the greatest deception that this old world has ever witnessed. It is a symbolic prediction which is coming true in our day. There you will see how:
‘Elohiym had determined to hand the disobedient 'Ach'ab over to destruction because even after 'Eliyahuw had his spectacular victory on Har- Karmel (see chapter 18) he was still allowing his wicked wife 'Iyzebel to corrupt the people of Yisra'el.
Each mal’ak in turn proposed a plan to trick 'Ach'ab to his death. But only the ruach sheqer had a plan that would work.
1KI 22:19 Miykayah continued, "Therefore hear the word of YHWH: I saw YHWH sitting on His Throne with all the Tsba' haShamayim standing around Him on His right and on His left. And YHWH said, `Who will entice 'Ach'ab into attacking Ramot-Gil`ad and going to his death there?' -- One suggested this, and another that. Finally, a ruach came forward, stood before YHWH and said, `I will entice him.' -- " `By what means?' YHWH asked. -- " `I will go out and be a ruach- sheqer in the mouths of all his nabiy'im,' he said. -- " `You will succeed in enticing him,' said YHWH. `Go and do it.'
The ruach sheqer had decided to speak through the mouths of the nabiy'im of Yisra'el. Remember that these leaders were not the prophets of Ba'al. The prophets of Ba'al had been slaughtered some time before (see 1KI 18:40). These men were the respected spiritual leaders of Yisra'el!
Also note how the deluded nabiy' Tsidqiyah was wearing a pair of “iron horns” (verse 11). Iron horns are symbols of supernatural power. But for all the power of Tsidqiyah and his numerical advantage, (400 to 1 - verse 6 ) he was still delivering a false message. And what was worse he was totally unaware that the ruach sheqer was using his tongue to do so. Sad to say even the tsedeq king Yhowshapat believed the false nabiy'im and he almost lost his life as a result.
Why was that ancient experience recorded in the TaNaKh? The answer is, because it has an important message for all of us who live in the closing days of this age.
1CO 10:11 All these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.
Did you notice that? This ancient experience is an 'example,' a 'type,' an 'illustration,' a 'figure' of a great spiritual deception scheduled to come upon this world in the end-time. That time has already begun. So let us examine this matter further.
The Last Great Deception
As you study that story over and over again you will realize that you are, in fact, looking at a spiritual blueprint, a shadow, a dramatized prophecy of a world-encompassing deception that is currently sweeping the Christian congregations; a deception that is the work of the same ruach sheqer of old. And, strange as this may seem, 'Elohiym is once again handing over multitudes of rebellious people to believe the ruach sheqer because, like 'Ach'ab and 'Iyzebel, they do not really want to heed His Word. Yes, the ruach sheqer is again at work, posing as Ruach ha'Emeth. As in the days of old, his spokesmen have supernatural power just as the horned Tsidqiyah had. He also has the majority on his side and he is convincing the people of 'Elohiym that he is speaking the truth. In the end, even those he has deluded will find out that he was a liar and that ha’Emeth was not in him. Now consider this amazing end-time scene foretold by the Messiah:
Mattithyahuw 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter Mamlahket haShamayim, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in Shamayim. Rabiym will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name, and in Your Name drive out shediym and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from Me, you ra`iym!’
Here is one of the most amazing spiritual scenes portrayed in the whole Torah; one which will stagger your mind if you just stop to think about it. Here are believers who:
Openly profess the Lord ("Lord, Lord" they say )
They have prophesied in His Name
They have cast out shediym in the Messiah's Name
And in His Name have done many wonderful works!
But for all their preaching and for all their wonder-working powers, the Messiah will refuse them entry into His Mamlahkah. And what is the reason for this astonishing rejection by the One who said: ‘whoever comes to Me I will never drive away?’
The answer is: They are living in "chatta'ah."
What is this thing called 'chatta'ah' that it can invalidate the powerful arguments these believers put to the Messiah, which disqualifies them from entering Mamlahket haShamayim? The answer is:
Chatta'ah is deliberate, persistent sinfulness, a willful refusal to acknowledge sin and heed the Torah of 'Elohiym! Chatta'ah is an absolute rejection of the mitsvowt. Chatta'ah is disobedience of the worst kind, an act of spiritual rebellion so deep and so deluding that it even contemptuously dismisses the charge that it is wrong!
These persons are guilty of living in chatta'ah. To be sure they profess the Messiah. Indeed with their wonder-working powers they are usually the leaders in this field. What is more, in what they believe is the Messiah’s Name they have cast out shediym and have done many wonderful works. It would be foolish to suggest that they would use these arguments if they hadn't done these things. Yes they have done them all. But it avails them nothing. The Master still refuses them entry to the Mamlahkah. Like unproductive trees they are hewn down and cast into the fire.
Again we ask, “Why?”
Because they are chata'iym who refuse to recognize the `Aseret haDbariym of 'Elohiym. They are willfully and persistently disobedient. Moreover, they have allowed their tongues to become the channel for the ruach sheqer and have taught and practiced chatta'ah, to their own ruin. To be sure they can do miracles: but that counts for nothing when weighed against their `avon. Oh what a terrible scene is here portrayed. Can you begin to understand it?
Pause awhile and consider so great a deception! Who are these people anyway? What do they call themselves? By what denominational name do they go?
Once more we ask - Who are these people?
There is only one answer to that question and if you spend some time really thinking about it you will realize that it is the only answer that presents itself. And that answer is this.
These deluded souls are none other than the wonder-working Charismatic Christians who are currently claiming to have that supernatural experience called the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit.” Yes, believe it or not, these miracle-working people are the only ones in the whole of Christendom who fit that prophecy. No other Christian group can possibly claim such powers as these people can.
They openly confess the Messiah. ("Lord, Lord" they say)
They prophesy in His Name.
The cast out shediym in the Name of the Messiah.
And they have done many wonderful works.
And, astonishing as this may sound, no other group is so opposed to the `Aseret haDbariym of 'Elohiym as they are. This makes them guilty of chatta'ah. The Charismatic Christians are the only ones in all Christendom who fit that picture. Do you know of any others who would even qualify to be considered?
We do not.
And what will happen to these deluded people? Are they forever lost because in their eagerness to be baptized in the Ruach haQodesh they have allowed themselves to be tricked by the ruach sheqer?
We are happy to say that some of them will realize their error and, like king Yhowshapat of old, cry out to 'Elohiym before it is eternally too late. (1KI 22:32) Yes, many of them will repent, they will "wash their garments," that is they will begin to heed the Torah of 'Elohiym. (Chazown 7:13-17, 22:14) But many others, like 'Ach'ab and 'Iyzebel, will not. They will continue in their 'avon and perish in their chatta'ah.
When will the Real Baptism Come?
The Scriptures tell us that multitudes came to Yochanan to be baptized by him in the Yarden. They came from every walk of life and from all directions to be "buried in the watery grave" and to be "raised up to walk in newness of life."
That was the symbolic environment, the figure, the spiritual blueprint, the ceremonial setting. The reality occurs when believers are baptized by the Messiah in the Ruach haQodesh AFTER true repentance and understanding of the Scriptures. Our chatta'ah natures, with all their inherent, lawless traits are then slain and buried. Our intellects will then be overwritten with the `Aseret haDbariym.
In other words, every believer who enters Mamlahket haShamayim is going to be Baptized in the Ruach haQodesh first. The old chatta'ah nature, the one that we are all born with, the nature that is inherently hostile to the `Aseret haDbariym of 'Elohiym, will be slain; and in its place the Messiah will give us an intellect like His own and write on it His Father's words. We will then be totally obedient sons and daughters of 'Elohiym, not because we have to be, but instinctively. This wonderful prospect is guaranteed in these words:
Yirmyahuw 31:31 “Behold the days of ba’iym,” declares YHWH, “when I, Aleph/Tav, will make a Briyth Chadashah with the house of Yisra'el and with the house of Yhuwdah. It will not be like the Briyth I, Aleph/Tav, made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, because they broke the Briyth of Me, Aleph/Tav, although I was a Husband to them,” declares YHWH. “This is the Briyth I, Aleph/Tav, will make with the house of Yisra'el after that time,” declares YHWH. “I will put Aleph/Tav, My Torah, in their mind and write Him on their heart. I will be their 'Elohiym, and they will be My people. No longer will each man teach of his Neighbor, Aleph/Tav, and each man of his Brother, Aleph/Tav, saying, `Acknowledge Aleph/Tav is YHWH,' because they will all acknowledge Me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their 'avon and will remember their chatta'ah no more."
The same thoughts are expressed in ‘Iybriyiym 10:16.
This experience is, in fact, the climax of the Briyth Chadashah when the whole mishpachah of 'Elohiym will have His Torah inscribed on the tablets of our nephesh. In this Briyth, the Torah is inscribed on our minds, etched by the Divine hand into our spiritual 'hardware' (to use a computer term) for all time. We will then be qadoshiym in every thought, word and deed. Yes, the Messiah personally baptizes in the Ruach haQodesh every believer who is going to enter Mamlahket haShamayim. And He does this in His own time; so wait for it if you have not received it. He has slain our chatta'ah natures, which in varying degrees are at enmity with His Father. And in the place of pesha' He puts total ne’eman.
This experience is the true baptism in the Ruach haQodesh and when we experience it, we never live in chatta'ah any more! And then this text applies to us:
1Yochanan 3:9 Everyone having been regenerated by ha'Elohiym will not remain a chatta’, because the Zera` of ‘Elohiym abides in him; he cannot go on in chatta'ah, because he has been regenerated by 'Elohiym.
This, then, is the wonderful prospect that awaits every believer who wants to heed 'Elohiym and enter His Mamlahkah.
