Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the congregation of the Thessalonians in 'Elohiym, our Father, and the Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach:
Grace and shalom to you from 'Elohiym, our Father, and the Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach.
We ought always to thank 'Elohiym concerning you, brothers, and rightly so, because your 'emuwnah is grows tremendously, and the checed every one of you has for each other is increasingly abundant, so that among the congregations of 'Elohiym we boast about your perseverance and 'emuwnah in all the persecutions and troubles you are enduring.
All this is evidence of the equitable judgment of 'Elohiym, and as a result you will be counted worthy of Mamlahket ha'El, for which you are indeed suffering, since it is right for 'Elohiym to pay back trouble to those who persecute you and stop you, those who are being persecuted with us, at the revealing of the Lord, Yeshuwah, from Shamayim in blazing fire with His powerful mal'akiym. He will be avenged on those who do not acknowledge 'Elohiym and do not heed the Gospel of our Lord, Yeshuwah. They will pay the penalty – everlasting destruction from before YHWH and the Kabowd of His Gadowl, on the day He comes to be glorified in His qadoshiym and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our witnessing to you.
We constantly pray for you with this in mind, that our 'Elohiym may count you worthy of His calling, and will fulfill every good purpose of towbah and act of 'emuwnah in power, that the Name of our Lord may be glorified – Yeshuwah haMashiyach in you, and you in Him – according to the chen of our 'Elohiym and the Lord. Yeshuwah haMashiyach.
We ask you, brothers, regarding the return of our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach, and our being gathered to Him, not to become easily unsettled in your thinking, or alarmed by a prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come through us, saying that Yowm-YHWH has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the pasha` occurs and the Chatta' is revealed, the son known as 'Abaddown. He will oppose and will exalt himself over all who are called 'of 'Elohiym, ' or ' set apart, ' so that he sets himself up in Bayith ha'Elohiym, proclaiming himself to be 'Elohiym!
Don't you remember that when with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know who is holding him back, that he may be revealed in his time. For the secret power of Rasha` is already at work; but She who now restrains will continue to do so till She is taken out of the way. And then the Rasha` will be revealed, whom YHWH will consume by the Ruach of His mouth and destroy by the illumination of His Presence. The coming will be in accordance with the work of haSatan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness found in those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to accept the truth and so be saved. For this reason 'Elohiym sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in chatta'ah.
But we ought always to thank 'Elohiym concerning you, brothers, for being loved by YHWH, because from the beginning 'Elohiym chose you for Yeshuwah, in Qadowsh, through haRuach and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our Gospel, that you might share in the Kabowd of our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach. So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.
And our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach Himself, and ha'Elohiym, our Father, who loves us and by chen gave us eternal comfort and confidence in good, will comfort your hearts and strengthen you in every word and good deed.
Finally, brothers, pray for us that the Word of YHWH may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from perverse and evil men, for not everyone has 'emuwnah. But YHWH is Ne'eman, and He will strengthen and protect you from the Rasha`. We have confidence in YHWH that you are doing and will continue to do the things we showed you. And YHWH will direct your hearts into the checed of 'Elohiym and the hopeful endurance of Him, the Messiah.
In the Name of our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach, we encourage you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is living insubordinately and not according to the teaching you received from us. For you yourselves know how you should follow our example. We were not disorderly when we were among you, nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to imitate. For even when we were with you, we gave you this encouragement: "If anyone does not desire to work, do not let him eat."
We hear that some among you are disorderly. They are not working, but they are busybodies. Such people we encourage and urge in our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach, to settle themselves down that they may eat. And as for you, brothers, do not weary of living virtuously.
If anyone does not heed our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, that he will be shamed. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother, and the Lord of Shalom will give you shalom at all times and in every way. YHWH is with all of you.
I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
The grace of our Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach, is with you all.
