'Elohiym has revealed Himself in a greater measure throughout time as man's understanding has allowed it.
Man had been darkened in his thinking, and was unable to accept much light. There is a progression of light, starting in Bre'shiyth and continuing and expanding into eternity. The progression and unfolding of light is referenced by Yeshuwah and the Ruach haQodesh:
For I tell you that many nabiy'im and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
In the past 'Elohiym overlooked such ignorance, but now He chatges all people everywhere to be repenting.
I became a shepherd as regards the stewardship of 'Elohiym given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of 'Elohiym – the revelation that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now revealed to His qadoshiym. To them 'Elohiym purposed to make known the riches of the revelation of Kabowd, and this among the gentiles, who is the Messiah in you, the expectant ones of the Kabowd.
In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of the Messiah, which was not made known to the descendants of 'Adam in other generations as it has now been revealed to the qadoshiym, His shlachiym and nabiy'im in haRuach. This mystery is that, according to the Gospel, the gentiles are co-heirs and co-participants in His promise, through Yeshuw`ah haMashiyach.
Now to the One who is able to confirm you according to my Gospel -- the proclamation of Yeshuwah haMashiyach, the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings, and according to the mitsvah of 'El `Owlam, achieving the obedience of 'emuwnah, to make it known among all gentiles – only to the chakmiym of 'Elohiym through Yeshuwah haMashiyach, who is Kabowd until `Owlam! Amen.
Concerning that salvation the nabiy'im inquired and searched diligently, prophesying about the circumstances of the grace for you, investigating the time and circumstances to make plain by words the Ruach haMashiyach in them, predicting the sufferings of the Messiah, and the Kabowd to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but us, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you through those who have preached the Gospel to you in the Ruach haQodesh sent from Shamayim. Even mal’akiym desire to look into these things.
The first mitsvah given by 'Elohiym to man is referenced in Bre'shiyth 2:16-17. It is the "Adamic mitsvah." One command given to 'Adam and Chavvah. The will of YHWH is pitted against man's will. Man committed chata’.
And YHWH 'Elohiym commanded the man, "You are free to partake from any tree in the garden; but you must not partake from `ets hada`ath towbwara`, for when you partake of it you will die a death."
At the time of the "Adamic Law," the "Intuitive mitsvah" was already in place. The "Intuitive mitsvah" is what is apparent to man without any specific instruction from 'Elohiym.
The wrath of 'Elohiym is revealed from Shamayim against all the risha` and `avon of men who suppress ha'Emeth in pesha`, as what may be known about 'Elohiym is plain to them, because ha'Elohiym has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world the invisible things of 'Elohiym are understood - both power and divinity of His `Owlam - so that they are inexcusable. For although they knew ha'Elohiym, they neither esteemed Him as 'Elohiym nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became worthless and their undiscerning hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became foolish, exchanging the Kabowd of the perfect 'Elohiym for a pecel of an image made to look like men and birds and animals and reptiles.
Man has known certain things about 'Elohiym since the beginning of time. When Qayin killed Hebel, Qayin knew that his action was in violation of this "Intuitive Law." That is why he lied to YHWH about the murder.
Then YHWH said to Qayin, "Where is your brother Hebel?"
"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"
YHWH said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground!”
Following the flood, YHWH began to give more definition to His Torah. The mitsvowt YHWH gave to Noach is referred to as the "Noachatic mitsvowt."
Then 'Elohiym blessed Noach by Aleph/Tav, and his sons by Aleph/Tav, saying to them, “You are to be fruitful and you are to increase and fill the earth by Aleph/Tav. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the living things of the earth and all the birds of the skies, upon all that move along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hand. All that moves, to which Huw' gives life, will be food for you. As I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything, by Aleph/Tav. But you must not eat flesh of its nephesh, that has its lifeblood still in it. Even so, by Aleph/Tav is your lifeblood for your nephesh – I will demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting, by Aleph/Tav, for the nephesh of his fellow man. The one who sheds the blood of man, by the 'Adam his blood will be shed; for in the image of 'Elohiym has Aleph/Tav made man. As for you, you are to be fruitful and increase; you are to roam on the earth and increase upon her.”
The "Noachatic mitsvowt" were very simple. Yhuwdim tradition says that the people were tearing the limbs off animals and eating them raw. YHWH also articulated the mitsvah against murder.
These are the genealogies of Noach: Noach, a man of Tsaddiyq, was of tamiym. Among His generations, Aleph/Tav, he will be one who walked with ha'Elohiym as Noach.
Tsaddiyq – from tsdaqah, acting in accord with Divine commandments:
Tsadaq (tsaw-dak') A primitive root; to be (causatively make) right (before God): - cleansed, (be, do) just (-ice), (be, turn to) righteous (-ness).
Tsdaqah relates only to compliance with the `Aseret haDbariym
The word tsaddiyq comes from the root word tsadaq. It strictly and exclusively references compliance with the Commandments, and is best translated as “righteous one.” It refers to the Messiah, as THE Righteous One. Good and bad have degrees, as in good, better, best - bad, worse, worst. Right and wrong have no degrees.
Like the mitsvowt, righteousness (tsdaqah) is black or white, compliant or non-compliant, right or wrong.
Noach, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. Then he drank some of the wine, and he became drunk and exposing himself inside his tent.
The actions of Noach, in view of our light, would be in question, but he was "of tamiym" because he did not know any better. "Noach, a man of Tsaddiyq," he was in full compliance with the "Intuitive and Noahatic mitsvowt." Another example of a man of Tsaddiyq was Lowt.
Lowt and his two daughters left Tsow`ar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Tsow`ar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. One day the firstborn said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the way of all ha'arets. Let's get our father to drink wine by Aleph/Tav and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father." At night they got their father to drink wine by Aleph/Tav, and the firstborn went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up. The next day the firstborn said to the younger, "See, last night I lay with my father by Aleph/Tav. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." So they got their father to drink wine by the Huw', Aleph/Tav, that night also, and the younger went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up. So both daughters of Lowt became pregnant by their father. The firstborn gave birth to a son, and she called his name, “Mow'ab”; he is the father of the Mow'ab of today. The younger daughter also gave birth to a son, and she called his name Ben-`Amiy; he is the father of the children of 'Amown of today.
…and He delivered the tsaddiyq, Lowt, who was harassed under the licentious behavior of the lawless men (for that tsaddiyq, living among them day after day, was tormented in his tsedeq nephesh by their lawless deeds he saw and heard)…
How could Lowt be considered a "tsaddiyq?" This same Lowt who selfishly chose the well-watered plains of Yarden with no concern for the welfare of his uncle 'Avraham; Lowt, who moved his family into Cdom; Lowt, who ultimately lost his estate, his woman and his family; Lowt, a "tsaddiyq," was a tsaddiyq, because he was in full compliance with the "Intuitive and Noahatic mitsvowt." He never had the light and the understanding that we have. Lowt had no rule concerning alcoholic beverages or getting drunk, and was not held responsible for the incestuous relationships that occurred without his knowledge while he was in a drunken condition.
As YHWH continued to enlighten man, He gave him more guidelines to live by, or Torah. On Har-Ciynay, YHWH gave Mosheh the 'Aseret haDbariym, the Ten Commandments to xtians, as well as the Leviy mitsvowt, contained in the first five books of the TaNaKh. (Bre'shiyt, Shmowt, Wayiqra', Bmidbar, Dbariym)
And YHWH spoke all these to the dbariym: "I am YHWH, your 'Elohiym, who brought you out of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage.
You will have no other gods before Me.
You will not make for yourself a pecel in the form of anything in Shamayim above or on ha'arets beneath or in the waters below. You will not bow down to them or worship them; for I, YHWH, your 'Elohiym, am 'El Qana', visiting the children for the 'avonowt of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing checed to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My Torah.
You will not make worthless the Name of YHWH, your 'Elohiym, for YHWH will not hold anyone guiltless who makes His Name worthless.
You will Remember the day of Shabat by keeping it qadash. Six days you will labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabat to YHWH, your 'Elohiym. On it you will not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days YHWH made Shamayim and ha'arets, the sea, and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore YHWH blessed the day of Shabat and set it apart.
Honor your father and your mother, so that you will live long in the land YHWH, your 'Elohiym, is giving you.
You will not murder.
You will not commit adultery, apostatize.
You will not steal, deceive.
You will not give false testimony against your neighbor.
You will not lust after your neighbor's house.
You will not lust after your neighbor's woman, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
The Torah of Mosheh was a skeleton of things to come. It was a guideline, a set of rules to help man in his living and in understanding YHWH.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Nabiy'im; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until Shamayim and ha'arets disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Torah until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of the Mitsvowt and teaches others to do the same will be called "least" in Mamlahket ha'El, but whoever practices and teaches the Mitsvowt will be called "greatest" in Mamlahket haShamayim.
Yeshuwah fulfilled the sacrificial mitsvowt. Yeshuwah gave the brightest light and the completion of the `Aseret haDbariym in Mattithyahuw 22:37-40.
Yeshuwah replied: "'Love YHWH, your 'Elohiym, with all your heart and with all your nephesh and with all your passion.' This is the first and greatest mitsvah. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Torah and the Nabiy'im hang on these two mitsvowt."
YHWH had been working to help man to understand this precept since 'Adam. It is the same precept referenced in Dbariym 6:5, and Wayiqra' 19:18.
Love YHWH, your 'Elohiym, with all your heart and with all your nephesh and with all your passion.
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am YHWH!
The essence they were teaching is still in effect-Love YHWH, Love your neighbor, Love yourself. There is an implied love of self, if you must love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.
The light gets no brighter than Mattithyahuw 22:37-40. Man's understanding, however, was still in a darkened state. The first “Holiness convention” was attended by the shlachiym and zaqeniym; Paul, Peter, Yochanan, Mattithyahuw, and Ya'aqob, writers of the Briyth Chadashah writings. We are given an insight into how little they understood.
Then some of the Believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, "It is binding to be circumcising them and requiring them to obey the laws of Mosheh." The shlachiym and zaqeniym met to consider this matter. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Men, brothers, you know that some time ago 'Elohiym made a choice among you that the gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the Gospel and believe. And 'Elohiym, the One who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Ruach haQodesh to them, just as He did to us. He made no distinction between us and them in 'emuwnah, purifying their hearts. Now then, why do you try ha'Elohiym by putting on the necks of the talmiydim a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been prepared to bear? No! Through the grace of the Lord, Yeshuwah haMashiyach, we are believing, to be saved, in the same manner in which they are."
The entire multitude hushed as they listened to Bar-Nabah and Paul telling about the miraculous signs and wonders 'Elohiym had done among the gentiles through them. When they finished, Ya'aqob spoke up: "Men, brothers, listen to me. Shim'own has described to us how 'Elohiym at first showed His concern by taking from the gentiles a people for His Name. The words of the nabiy'im are in agreement with this, as it is written: 'After this I will be returning and rebuilding the Mishkan of Daviyd, the one having fallen. Her foundation I will rebuild, and I will restore her, that the remnant among men will be seeking out the Lord, and all the gentiles on whom has been invoked My Name,’ says YHWH, the One who does all these things. All His works are known from eternity to ha'Elohiym. Therefore, I am deciding not to be harassing the gentiles who are turning on to ha'Elohiym. Instead, let us write to them, telling them to abstain from ceremonial pollutions of the idols, from prostitution, from the strangled and from blood. For Mosheh has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Shabat." Then the shlachiym and zaqeniym, with the whole Qahal, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Bar-Nabah. They chose Yhuwdah (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers.
With them they sent the following letter: “The shlachiym and zaqeniym, your brothers, to the gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings! We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your nephesh by what they said. So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Bar-Nabah and Paul--men who have given up their lives for the sake of the Name of Yeshuwah. Therefore we are sending Yhuwdah and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything except these essentials: You are to abstain from sacrifices to idols, from blood, from the strangled and from prostitution. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.”
After considering whether gentile believers should comply with the laws of Mosheh, they agreed that we are not under such laws, but under grace. Then they went right back and established a new law -- "The Four Commandments."
You are to abstain from sacrifices to idols, from blood, from the strangled and from prostitution. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.
The law that they established was not even good law. This was not the Torah, given by YHWH on Har-Ciynay, this was law created by man at a "church meeting." This is certainly a scriptural example of why we must listen to YHWH rather than the teachings of any singular man, or denominational group. Paul, in agreement at that time, later refuted the first portion of "The Four Commandments," as he gained sight of a higher teaching.
So then, about partaking of idolatrous sacrifices: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no 'Elohiym but one. For even if there are so-called “gods,” whether in Shamayim or on ha'arets (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one 'Elohiym, the Father, out of whom all things exist and we live for Him; and there is but one Lord, Yeshuw`ah haMashiyach, through whom all things exist and we live by Him. But not everyone has this da`ath. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat any idolatrous sacrifice they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is tame'. But food does not bring us near to 'Elohiym; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak ones. For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this da`ath sitting in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat the idolatrous sacrifices? So this weak brother, for whom the Messiah died, is destroyed by your da`ath. And thus you are chatta'ah against the brothers and wound those with a weak conscience, you are chatta'ah against the Messiah. Therefore, if what I eat offends my brother, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not offend him.
Paul had become enlightened by the Ruach haQodesh at the time he was writing. He concluded that an idol is nothing, but love for his brother is everything. Paul at that point could see the light of Mattithyahuw 22:37-40, the precept of grace.
Yeshuwah stated that He did not come to abolish the Torah:
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Nabiy'im; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until Shamayim and ha'arets disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Torah until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of the Mitsvowt and teaches others to do the same will be called "least" in Mamlahket haShamayim, but whoever practices and teaches the mitsvowt will be called "greatest" in Mamlahket haShamayim.
Yeshuwah upgraded the mitsvah on murder to reach Mattithyahuw 22:37-40:
You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sunedrion. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of Gey- Hinom.
Yeshuwah upgraded the mitsvah on adultery to reach Mattithyahuw 22:37-40:
You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Yeshuwah upgraded the mitsvah on divorce to reach Mattithyahuw 22:37-40:
It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his woman must give her a certificate of divorce.' But I tell you that anyone who divorces his woman, except for unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
ALL Mitsvowt of the `Aseret haDbariym were upgraded at the time of Yeshuwah.
The sacrificial laws were upgraded from the temporary kaphar brought about by the blood of bulls and sheep and goats to the permanent Kaphar brought about by the sacrifice of the perfect Man - Yeshuwah.
The old mitsvowt directed ten percent tithing on specific occasions. The mitsvah of Mattithyahuw 22:37-40 is that YHWH owns all of us. Do not be so ignorant as to be coerced and deceived into believing that a ten percent contribution to a prostitute that calls itself a “church” will satisfy Mattithyahuw 22:37-40.
The old mitsvah directed against false testimony:
You will not give false testimony against your neighbor.
False testimony is communicating something that is untrue about your neighbor. How much communication is "hear-say," passed from one non-observing person to another? Communication of an untruth is false testimony even if you believe it to be true, having not seen it for yourself. When you have personal knowledge, what is the intent of your heart in passing testimony about someone else? Does it comply with Mattithyahuw 22:37-40?
It has been said. "A truth that's told with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent." If the testimony is true, does communicating the testimony comply with Mattithyahuw 22:37-40? How many unwise virgins will be sent to Gey- Hinom because of gossip?
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
It is easy to understand the direction of Yeshuwah when He said:
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from Rasha`.
For I tell you that unless your tsdaqah surpasses that of the Pharisees and the rabbis of the Torah, you will certainly not enter Mamlahket haShamayim.
The "tsdaqah" of the Pharisees and the teachers of the Torah was an attempt on their part to comply with the Leviy khunnah of Mosheh. The tsdaqah required by Mattithyahuw 22:37-40 far surpasses the tsdaqah required by the Leviy khunnah. Every man of Tsaddiyq today has the power to comply with Mattithyahuw 22:37-40.
If you do not have the power to comply, you are not of Tsaddiyq!
But anyone who lives on milk is ignorant of the teaching of Tsaddiyq, because he is a simple-minded person. But solid food is for the mature, who, through practicing mishpat, have trained themselves to be able to discern between good and evil.
If a person does not understand about mishpat, they are, at best, a baby in their belief, and at worst a messenger of haSatan, sent to damn your nephesh. This is not the person to feed your nephesh. The Ruach haQodesh clearly states this in Hebrews 6:1-3.
But anyone who lives on milk is ignorant of the teaching of Tsaddiyq, because he is a simple-minded person. But solid food is for the mature, who, through practicing mishpat, have trained themselves to be able to discern between good and evil. Therefore let us leave the fundamental teachings about the Messiah and be carried on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to Maveth, and of 'emuwnah in 'Elohiym, the baptisms, instruction on the laying on of hands, the resurrection, the dead, and judgment of `Owlam. And, ha’Elohiym permitting, we will do so.
A substantial portion of people who claim to be believers are, at best, still feeding on babies' milk. The Ruach haQodesh gives seven examples of babies' milk:
1. "the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to maveth"
2. "'emuwnah in 'Elohiym"
3. "the baptisms"
4. "instruction on the laying on of hands "
5. "the resurrection"
6. "the dead"
7. "judgment of `Owlam"
These are clearly stated as babies' milk. Until you have been well nourished on these things, and moved on to the deeper truths in the Scriptures, you are, at best, an infant in your belief.
In Galatians 5:2-3, Paul states that believers are not under the written code or the external mitsvowt, but under grace.
Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you become physically circumcised, the Messiah will be of no value to you at all. Again I witness to every man who lets himself become circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole Torah. You who are trying to be justified by the Torah have alienated yourselves from the Messiah; you have fallen away from grace. But by haRuach, through 'emuwnah, we eagerly await the expected tsdaqah. For in Yeshuwah haMashiyach neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is 'emuwnah expressing itself through love.
But whatever was profitable to me I consider a detriment, because of the Messiah. What is more, I consider everything a detriment compared to the excellency of the da`ath of Yeshuwah haMashiyach, my Lord, for whose sake I have considered everything else detrimental. I consider them dung, that I may gain the Messiah and be found in Him, not having self-righteousness from the Torah, but through 'emuwnah in the Messiah, the tsdaqah of 'Elohiym based on 'emuwnah, to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
